Flame-Resistant Shirts or Arc-Rated

Staying safe with the necessary flame-resistant (FR) shirts is the first step in protecting yourself from accidental ignition on the job. Choose the Arc-Rated or flame-resistant shirt with the proper HRC rating in the style you need for the greatest protection. Most of the flame-resistant shirts you will find below are compliant HRC (Hazard Risk Category) 2, as defined by NFPA 70E, 2012 edition. That means they have an arc rating that is greater than or equal to 8 cal/cm², but is less than 25 cal/cm². HRC 2 may also be referred to as Level 2 or Class 2. Arc-Rated or flame-resistant shirts and other clothing compliant to HRC 2 are typically categorized daily wear. Daily wear includes, but is not limited to: knit or button front shirts, work pants or FR jeans and coveralls. It’s important to note that it’s typically daily wear that is compliant to HRC 2, but that does not mean all daily wear you will find on this page is compliant to hazard risk category 2.
